Stone Masters have begun the stone work at the refurbished AA lounge at Heathrow after a series of delays from the principal contractor.
“We have entered new territory in terms of 3 dimensional machining
capabilities. We have had to invent some diamond tooling to get the
right finish, and modify some of our machinery to accommodate these
delicate works” - says Rita Logue from the Stone Masters sales team.
The works have been challenging not only from a logistical perspective to do with Airport security, but also the 3 dimensional edging elements that certainly goes some way beyond regular CNC machining.
